Free and premium, side by side

What do you get free?

NativePal is free to start and free to keep using. Every feature has a daily allowance rather than being locked behind a paywall, so you can use the whole app each day and simply run out of that day’s quota. No card and no account are required.

NativePal free tier vs premium, per day
Feature Free Premium Notes
Reading lessons 1 per day Unlimited Free lessons are short-format stories. Longer stories are premium.
Vocabulary lessons 1 per day Unlimited Free lessons are the 5-word mini format. The 10 and 20-word intensities are premium.
Words added to your dictionary 10 per day Unlimited Each word gets AI-generated definitions, examples and pronunciation.
Flashcard review Unlimited Unlimited Spaced-repetition review of your saved words is never limited, on either tier.
Dictionary quizzes 1 per day Unlimited
Speaking practice sessions 3 per day Unlimited Teleprompter reading with pronunciation scored on individual sounds, prosody, fluency and connected speech.
Daily challenge 1 per day 1 per day The challenge is one per day by design, for everyone — it is a daily habit, not a quota.
New chats and scenarios started 1 per day Unlimited Character chats, custom chats, learning scenarios and immersive scenarios all draw on this same allowance.
Chat messages sent 5 per day Unlimited Counted across all chats. Free messages are capped at 300 characters, premium at 1,000.
Custom characters and scenarios Create and preview Chat with them You can build your own character or scenario on the free tier; talking to it requires premium.

What does premium add?

Premium does three things: it lifts the daily limits, it unlocks the bigger formats — longer reading stories, 10 and 20-word vocabulary lessons, and 1,000-character chat messages instead of 300 — and it lets you chat with characters and scenarios you have created yourself.

The daily challenge stays at one per day on both tiers. It is meant to be a single focused minute of speaking, and turning it into something you can grind would defeat the point.

What does it cost?

Subscription prices are set per country in the App Store and Google Play and change with local currency and store promotions, so any figure printed here would be wrong for most readers. The paywall in the app shows the current price for your region before you commit to anything.

Billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google, which also means you cancel through your store account settings rather than through us.

When do the limits reset?

At local midnight on your device. Each calendar day starts with a fresh allowance.

Pricing questions

Is NativePal free?

Yes, NativePal is free to start and free to keep using, with a daily allowance across each feature. You get one reading lesson, one vocabulary lesson, one dictionary quiz, one daily challenge, three speaking-practice sessions, one new chat, five chat messages and ten new dictionary words per day, plus unlimited flashcard review. No card and no account are required.

What does NativePal premium cost?

Prices are set per country in the App Store and Google Play, and they change with local currency and store promotions, so the accurate answer is whatever your store shows. Open the app and the paywall displays the current price for your region before you commit to anything.

What does premium actually add?

Three things: it removes the daily limits, it unlocks the larger formats (longer reading stories, 10 and 20-word vocabulary lessons, 1,000-character chat messages instead of 300), and it lets you chat with characters and scenarios you have built yourself. The daily challenge stays at one per day for everyone, because that is the point of it.

Do I need an account to use NativePal?

No. NativePal uses anonymous sign-in, so you can start practising without an email address, password or social login. You only need an account if you want your progress to survive changing device.

Is there a free trial of premium?

Trial availability is controlled by the App Store and Google Play and varies by region and over time, so the app paywall is the only reliable place to check. The free tier is not a trial — it does not expire.

When do the daily limits reset?

At local midnight on your device, so a new allowance is available each calendar day.

Can I cancel a NativePal subscription?

Yes, through your Apple or Google account subscription settings, the same way as any other app subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep premium until the current period ends. NativePal cannot cancel it for you, because the store owns the billing relationship.
